Mum's (and so, the world's best) Apple Crumble.

Skill level: ridiculously easy.

Prep time: 5- 10 mins

This is by far, the best comfort food imaginable. This is by no means fat free, sugar free or wheat free. In fact they are the only ingredients in this beautiful bowl of joy. People often get carried away with making crumble too intricate, adding unneeded ingredients such as coconut and oats. With this recipe, you can use whatever fruit you like and it will still taste amazing. In fact, you don't even need to use fruit if you don't want to.


Fruit of choice, peeled and chopped.

Equal parts raw sugar, dairy free margarine, plain flour.

Pop the fruit in an oven safe bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, sugar and margarine together using your fingers. Get in there and play! You want to get it to a consistency where it resembles bread crumbs and sticks together in clumps when you press it together.

Put the mix on top of your fruit so that it covers the top of the bowl. Put some very small dobs of marg on top of the mixture and put it in the oven at 180*c or 360*f. Cook for an hour, until the top is nice and golden.

Yum! The beauty of this recipe is that you can make as much as you like, just using equal parts. Oh, and I recommend banana crumble. Amazing!
