Winter stewed prunes

I know the idea of prunes probably reminds you of nana's and keeping regular, but these stewed prunes are actually really tasty. I made a big batch and they are so handy for a sweet snack. In a pan, add quarter of a cup of water, and quarter of a cup of fresh orange juice to half a cup of dried prunes. You can add more or less liquid as your little heart desires. Add three cardamom pods, about ten thin slices of orange rind (about four cm long), and a cinnamon stick and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about ten mins. It's a tasty winter treat that kind of even tastes like Christmas pudding.
